about

Recorded & mixed by producer Billy Bork at The Attic in Portland, OR
Album artwork by Glenn Liddell

This EP, East Side Drag, was recorded and produced under unconventional circumstances. The bulk being seven tracks of East Side Drag, were recorded in a 14 hour session on a typical rainy, Portland, OR day.

As the session was scarcely organized, Jacob "Babyface" Miller and His Bridge City Crooners, (Ben Bailey, Kyle Neumann, and Joy Pearson), arrived to The Attic at separate times throughout the morning/day of May 20th, 2012. Within the single day session, the group laid down seven tracks, while drinking an impressive/handsome amount of whiskey.

The last session which included the recording of the track 'Take It Back', and the final mix of the eight tunes, took place on June 5th. This was the very day Jacob Miller, and Ben "Warshboardin'" Bailey, hit the rails to travel south and busk the streets all the way from Los Angeles, CA to New Orleans, LA. Needless to say, the handful of days following their departure were hectic. Yet the final mix was finished through the diligence of Billy Bork of The Attic, and Miller. Jacob and the rest of the fellas are very proud to present the final outcome of much hard work, writing on the porch, and the accompaniment of talented 'n musically inclined folk. Please enjoy this collection of tunes with friends, family, and fine libation.
